Executive Information Services (EIS) announced today that it has completed the installation of a new public safety Suite for City and County of Los Alamos Police, NM. The project included the installation of the integrated EIS/JMS and EIS/RMS-2® management software solution. The agency was seeking to improve departmental efficiency and to provide the officers and citizens a modern information system that can grow with the agency.
The new system includes EIS/JMS – Jail Management System and EIS/RMS-2 - Records Management System and a variety of supporting system capabilities, including integration with the Infor CAD system. The applications are built on modern Microsoft technology.
The new EIS/RMS-2® Records Management System provides an integrated data management capability that automates the agency’s records-processing activities and provides extended operational support modules. The new Records system is an N-Tired, service oriented application operating on a fully-distributed Microsoft Windows® network environment. Built on the latest Microsoft .NET technology, RMS-2 offers a seamless flow of information between applications that tie all agency information together. EIS's reporting capabilities and WorkFlow Management solutions directly support the department’s daily operations, and provided a solid basis to evaluate operations and perform response time and crime analysis.
The EIS/JMS-2 Jail Management System tracks and manages all aspects of an inmate's stay in the LAPD’s correctional facility, from booking to release. The JMS-2 is fully integrated and dramatically speeds up the inmate identification and booking process by utilizing existing inmate information and one click data links. The system provides full booking, classification, property, housing, inmate movement tracking, recording of jail activities and events, programs and kitchen management features. JMS-2 also provides for inmate’s personal property, and jail issued property, mug shots, Livescan integration and a comprehensive inmate scheduling capability and visitation management. The JMS-2 provides a numerous set of standardized reports for state and federal agencies including the Social Security Administration and Immigration and Naturalization Service, and a comprehensive ability for the agency to define any form of custom report or system output.
